After 3 years my reverse total shoulder started to lock up on me with severe pain. It had never been perfect but before that I was doing ok with dry needling and taping. Fast forward was sent to another surgeon for 2nd opinion and I was told I had conjoint tendonitis. He offered me a one time injection which I took and what a relief though he said I had it for so long it would come back. Asked why they couldn’t just release the tendon. He said that there was a surgery being performed but it was new only been out 3 years or so, but he had never done it.
After 3months and two weeks after the injection it was back . My surgeon sent me to another surgeon who felt I was a good candidate and he felt comfortable doing the release of tendon even though he had never done it before. So middle of august he released the tendon and decompressed the clavicle again because I felt like an impingement was there. So back to pt I am I don’t feel impingement anymore and so far no locking up still have some issues but waiting for it to heal.
