@slapshotmary, hi. And every two years may not be right for you. I have it from the fellow who ran the clinical trials that he "almost never" prescribes Reclast for the second year. He looks at bone markers and dexa to make the determination. It may depend upon how much bone you've lost.

@gently that is a very interesting article I am still resisting all drugs but my sister in law has had two Reclast injections (infusions? ) and loathes the after effects. Interestingly, my cousin's best friend, married to an orthopedic surgeon, only had one shot, maybe the guy also knew about the less-is-more theory.

Here is what's most unsettling about your article - these words, I've cut and pasted: "declining rates of development of new therapies for osteoporosis." What, the treatments we have now - w jaw rotting, thigh bones cracking, and just generally feeling terrible - are all so perfect we don't have to develop more? What is wrong with the medical community that they think the choice of evils they offer us is the best they can do.? We should have some mass demonstration somewhere.
