Interesting, once a month? I was told every 2 weeks for the night bag and 3-5 days for the day pouch - however I do the day pouch once every 7 days. Hadn't thought of extending the night bag use. But....why not? I will try that.

@cromme50 I used to use a different supply of ostomy products but for the last 4 years I switched to Coloplast. Very happy with the results. I only change my day bag once a week and my overnight bag once a month. Never had a problem with either one. when I shower I protect my pouch with the plastic bags you get at the supermarket for veggies.
I use surgical tape on top to keep water out. My invention.
Another thing I developed was to use Hair dryer to dry area when changing day bag. You have to make sure its 100% dry or you will have embarrassing leaks.
