Metformin might help you control your diabetes with diet change. Probably if you have already developed PN. The damage is done. You can help control it with diet. But hardly ever eliminate it .

I should add. I have taken metformin. I was pre diabetic. I have brought my AIC. Down through diet and exercise. I do not take metformin now Still have PN
