Hello @1959,

I am so very sorry for all that your daughter is going through; please don't worry, because you have come to a caring community here on Connect, and we will try our best to get you the help and information you need.

@karri, @dawn_giacabazi, @cweeks18, @predictable, @tanglefoot, @rwcccone, @marylu, do you have any advice for @1959?

1959, sometimes after surgery, a common complication is pneumonia. When a patient is not able to breathe in enough air to fill the lungs, because of pain, mucus builds up in the lungs, and that can cause pneumonia.

@1959, I am going to do some more research on the lung nodules that have been found, and I will write back to you as soon as I have some details; in the meantime, I am sure the mentors and members I have tagged above will get back to you. Stay strong

@1959, listen to Dawn's advice and follow it promptly. Contact Mayo Clinic by phone for an immediate consultation. Get prepared for a recommendation that you transport your daughter to a competent broad-range medical practice. I share Dawn's preference for Mayo Clinic because it is an integrated clinical practice that diagnosis and treats almost everything, providing expert, whole-person care to everyone who needs healing -- and for whatever reason. Its major campuses are in Rochester, Minn.; Scottsdale and Phoenix, Ariz.; and Jacksonville, Fla. In addition, the Mayo Clinic Health System has dozens of locations in several states.

This kind of comprehensive investigation, diagnosis, and treatment is probably needed by your daughter right away. Can you check this web site for directions on how to contact Mayo? http://www.mayoclinic.org/about-mayo-clinic/contact . If you have any difficulty with this, come right back and ask us for more help!

Hello @1959,

How are you and your daughter doing today? You are going through such a difficult time, but I too, want to emphasize what @dawn_giacabazi and @predictable said: your daughter needs help urgently, and I am sure you are doing everything you can to help her,

Here is some information about lung nodules
According to this article by Mayo Clinic "most lung nodules are noncancerous (benign)." Read more here:

I would also like to introduce you to Connect members, @bruce668, @tdrell, @philomena, @justjanet, @heathert, @DiannaTV; they have talked about lung nodules and may be able to help you understand your daughter's condition better.

@1959, please let us know if there is anything else we can do to answer your questions and relieve your pain.

Hi @1959 I can feel your panic and I know the feeling. She may need a lung doctor( pulmonary) to have a look at her lungs, they may even be able to put you onto a doc for the sepsis, but take her to the emergency section, the emergency room team should be putting you onto the right people, just keep asking questions until you get helpful answers, sometimes we really have to fight to get what we need unfortunatly. Wishing you all the best, keep us posted.
