I was unable to take the lisenopril type meds.(ACE Inhibitors). My doctor changed me to ACE Blockers instead. I take Valsartin now, which works great for me with no apparent side effects. You can ask your doctor to try that for you. However, if you take it, be careful that your pharmacy uses pharma companies that compound it correctly. Some companies have accidentally produced a cancer causing side effect in their versions of the drug. You can research that online. I have tried many different drugs that I couldn't stand for BP.

Have you considered getting a DNA test to determine which drugs are compatible for you? Especially since you are so sensitive to drugs, I think that's something you could ask for from your doctor. I hope you can find the appropriate medication that works. I also hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Parus.

BTW, my painting is coming along and I'm loving it. I find the art class to be distracting as there are so many people socializing there. I still go for the social aspects, but I'm finding it much easier to work at home. I'm currently working on my third painting which is of my husband. We'll see how it comes out. I don't like my first painting, which remains incomplete. I'll work on it more later. I'm happy with my second piece which also needs more work, and I'm enjoying working on the current one of my husband. I can't post photos yet as none are finished. LOL

@floridagirl128 yes you get a tea it is ginger-Tumeric tea it taste good Amazon or Trader Joe's has it just drinking ginger would taste bad and be to much on your stomach but this tea doesn't bother my stomach as I,ve had ulcers in past so don't due fried foods or hot spicey foods. The tumeric pills upset my stomach but the tea is all right.

@lioness @floridagirl128 There is a ginger turmeric "chai" made by Rishi. It comes in a carton and you warm it up and put some milk in with it -- I use unsweetened almond milk. It does have some sweetener in it. They also have a turmeric ginger tea in leaves with no sweetener. Both are good, and I buy both at Whole Foods. I first had it when I bought some at the cafe in Whole Foods and loved it. It really is good.
I have no idea why this picture went sideways, it wasn't like that in my files.

@contentandwell I had to stop with anything containing ginger as even ginger has become too stimulating for me-I guess. I do purchase turmeric fresh and steep it in unsweetened almond milk. Very mild and soothing. I tried turmeric in capsule form and my tummy was not happy with my choice.

@contentandwell Now, now JK you are creative in other ways. It can be as rewarding to view what another has done and appreciate thus without envy 🙂😉

I haven't been seen at Mayo because I live in Southern California and I don't think there is a clinic here. I have been to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN when I had skin grafting surgery on my face for Basal Cell skin cancer. My husband was also treated there when he had a heart attack 17 years ago. I am very impressed with Mayo and the care they provided my husband and me.

I go through St. Jude's clinics here. I have been happy with the healthcare I have received, with the exception of the pain doctor. He didn't explain to me the effects of Gabapentin, and I trusted that he would not give me something like it. He's not happy with me because I want to titrate off it. Too bad. I also take Tramadol 50 mg for pain, and Baclofen 10 mg for muscle spasms. I know I am dependant on the Tramadol as I have taken it before and had to withdraw from it then. However, I prefer it over Hydrocodone or oxycodone which haven't really helped my pain. Tramadol helps, but I still have quite a bit of pain. I was told that I cannot use marijuana for pain relief, even though it is legal in California because it is still illegal at the Federal level. I'm seeing the pain doctor next Monday for a "reevaluation" of my situation. This is at his request which is why I think he's not happy with me. It's a longer story than I have time to share now.

Marijuana is legal in California and has been my saving grace from the debilitating effects of Fibromyalgia. I only use it at night and it helps my nerves relax and I am able to sleep.

LOL, I hope you won't be disappointed as I'm not nearly as good as Parus. I'm doing it because I enjoy painting, not because I'm good at it. And, you might consider joining a painting class near you where you can check out your creativity. You may be more creative than you know. I'm not ready to post any of my work yet. Perhaps toward the end of this year.
