Welcome to Connect @mrschew. Horrible to see our children in pain. I would definitely call 911. Chest pain and unable to walk is nothing to try to fix yourself. 🙁

If she has had this for a long time, has she been evaluated by her primary care doctor?

I'm so sorry to hear of your daughter's problems @mrschew, How frightening that must be for her (and you). I wish her well. Please keep in touch with Mayo Connect. We care! Teresa

I am so sorry that your daughter is in pain. Chances are that she is experiencing costochondritis. http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/costochondritis/basics/definition/con-20024454
I have had this and it is horribly painful -- it DOES subside in time, but you may need to contact your physician for some pain management assistance.
Best wishes,
Vickie

If U can, try and get a family member or if U can go and stay with UR daughter. Being alone is very frightening for her, especially in the dark hours of the night. I know, I am alone, and it is almost unbearable at times. She needs someone with her to help her think of other things and not the pain. To comfort her and assure her .. that is very important to pain management. Please tell UR daughter she ls in my heart and if I could I would bear her pain. I am asking Jesus to save this precious young woman and restore her to good health. Toni in Toronto ..

@mrschew I see she was going to the hosp. Do you mind sharing her diagnosis?

I have 3 young children and I have and am very sick. They have had a hard time with it. But i have taught them with the help of our youth paster, that God is always with them. When they are alone, dark and afraid, lean on God. He will always be there. I have truly seen a complete transformation with them. They use to cry and cry and be so sad when I am in the hospital or up at mayo clinic for weeks at a time but now no crying, no complete sadness that they can not function. They tell quite often, "Thank you mom for helping me see that I am never alone. I am really ok" I am sure they are sad but it no longer controls them. They control it.

I to had Costochondritis. Every breath I took it was like someone stabbing me in the chest. I got to the point where I would breath very shallow. I had pnumonia all the time. They finally removed my sternal manubrium joint.

Prayers for quick releif for your daughtet and you.
Hugs, Dawn

For sure, second opinions are always wise, since it is not improving.
