@jeannegordon4 Magnesium helps some with muscle pain for me. I am sad you are suffering too. I also avoid sugar, gluten, packaged foods and try to avoid stress as it makes pain worse. Far easier typed on the page. Pain causes stress, stress makes pain worse. A vicious cycle for all of us. This fibro is not for wimps!!

@oldkarl Besides it would hurt me even more. I also have other maladies. At least I have found some comfort and support here.

Not sure if I'm writing in the correct space. If not please correct me. I am a 71 yo female. I have chronic pain in my lower back (from an infection from surgery in 1984) and right knee. I also have fibromyalgia but since I went gluten free 4 years ago the fibro and Chrome are better. Yea!

Most helpful in the understanding of why more help/answers are NOT forthcoming from the Medical Profession and Big Pharma was what I learned from watching last nights viewing of "UNREST" a documentary about ME/CFS on INDEPENDENT LENS---Ch. 9. That related medical condition affects a huge (twice that of CP, etc) population world wide and has the least governmental funding of the more widely recognized diseases, and is thought to be caused by psychiatric dispositions rather than systemic dtysfunctioning. I went online to buy the film W/O success since it is yet available on PBS.

As a retired nurse I can tell you Big Phrama have cures but that would undercut there income.Besides what I posted earlier ,I sent gluten free this seems to be a problem for a lot of issues.

I wanted to make sure I wasn't taking to much Magnesium as to much can cause problems .Magnesium as with calcium are needed in the body to function Research shows Fibro people need more Magnesium. But the ant I am taking is still within the guide lines. I also have been able to reduce my Tramadol, like to 1@nighttime .I also have a fractured back in 2005, but will always have some kind of discomfort now from it .When this happened the Dr.had me on 3a day
