I said nerve pain. BUT no idea how to get rid of it. I am fairly sick of the doctors and the mistakes I read on here.

Here is the ridiculous part for all of us here,, These Dr's are not helping us..They dont want to admit there is something wrong,, They might have to fix their screw up.. I do believe the pain in the thigh is nerve related. There is still a lump at the top of my thigh where the pain is and is ohhhhhh so tender to touch.
There is also a few spots on the side by the hip bone meets your waist the feels like something sharp is in there so when you touch it,, its stabbing pain. The pain I have as I get up and have to wait for it to ( snap into place) --(I say that for lack of a better term-because I do not know what its doing), that pain is horrible. I had sciatic nerve pain before the surgery,, but it is worse now .. I am gaining weight because I am not as active as I was.. so I know that isnt helping... someone on here said " it sounds like a nerve".. Any one have more info on it,, is it a cut nerve,, pinched nerve,, damaged nerve.. where is the nerve that is effected??? Is there anything that can be done to find out if its a nerve,,?? grrrrr,, sorry just grabbing at straws here.. thanks for listening ,, just needed to vent,,

I also have severe pain in my left thigh after hip resurfacing and then again a year later when they removed the screws in my hip because they were not flush and catching my IT band. Now just like last time I have severe pain that starts slow and builds in my thigh and shoots down to my knee. It gets so bad I want to rip my leg off. Long car rides and sleeping are the worse. NOBODY knows why at my doctors office. They think I want pain meds burn I haven’t asked for them since the surgery so thata not it. They gave me muscle relaxers but doesn’t help much and I don’t like how they’ve make me feel. The pain get so so bad I truly can’t do ANYTHING to relieve it besides standing up. Why do I have this same pain twice?

@bigmann245 so sorry youre having this kind of pain,, But like the rest of us, the Dr's are not fessing up to what is causing it. I am pretty sure they know ( or at least they should know) what is causing it. But in my opinion, if they tell us then it would be telling us what mistake they made.. Luckily laying flat sometimes is my only relief .. good luck to you.. we all need some luck ..

There is a Netflix documentary that claims Cobalt in the replacement could be the problem.

After a very successful hip replacement almost three years ago I started getting severe sharp pain in the femur area and assumed it was the prosthetic but doctor said no. After 2 years of pain and pain management I tried Lyrica and that seemed to get it under control enough for me to do most things but stairs are still an issue. Happy that I at least have this to help

@lioness @popolopo - Please read the dangers of this drug. I refused it for my gastroparesis. https://patient.info/forums/discuss/potential-long-term-effects-of-gabapentin-272189
