I have almost constant, intense intestinal pain. Every test has come back

I have almost constant, intense intestinal pain. Every test has come back negative until I had a CT scan. It showed 'thickening' or 'swelling' of the small intestine. My primary care physician has given up but the pain has intensified over the last couple of weeks. It started several months ago and at one point I couldn't stand it anymore so I requested pain pills. They have since run out and as I refused anymore pills the pain has become unbearable. I'm so sick and tired of losing weight, being in pain and having my complaints ignored.

brittney..do you have any base disease? have u been seen by any surgeon or not? how much weight you have lost? if you have lost weight, then it can lead us to the intestinal cancer.how old are you? please get yourself checked by a surgeon...

I've lost over ten pounds since the pain began and I'm only 25. I did see a gastroenterologist, but he didn't look far enough into my small intestine to see what was going on. 5 weeks later, I finally got the results back-which were normal of course. My primary has decided that I must be making it up or going crazy, which my therapist was furious at the insult, and washed his hands of me.

I'm curious how I could be faking the CT scan though...

Hi Brittney so sorry for the discomfort and pain you have been experiencing. I would maybe suggest to go and see a specialist who deals with these kind of conditions a gastroenterologist. You hopefully will then be able to get the answers that you need. We as you know cant diagnose or comment of what may be going on with you, but we can support you along the way. Don't be too alarmed until you have the answers that you need. If the pain increases I would suggest maybe to go to your nearest E.D. department in your area and they will be able to help you. It's important to be able to manage your pain and then you'll feel better. Take care and please let me know how you get along. Always here anytime if you need me Piglit

I never had any interest in smoking, drinking to excess or drugs of any kind. No, I had an upper endoscopy, a colonoscopy can't see past the large intestine. I'm wondering why my primary took so long to send me for that, then gave up on trying to figure it out after there were no results.

Hi Brittney can't answer the question as to why no further investigations were done, that's why i suggested maybe to get a second opinion with a specialist who specializes in this area Takecare Piglit

Thanks, I was planning to go to the hospital after the side effects of the vicoden wore off. I have the feeling they may put my on morphine and I would rather they not both be in my system at the same time. The reason why I posted this inquiry was to get some ideas about what could be causing the pain. Every blood, urine and stool test came back negative and has the doctors confused.
