Our site

Lately our site has had some users who can only be described as “spammers” - sending or posting unwanted messages for personal gain. We apologize for the inconvenience that you may have experienced, and we are working diligently in resolving this issue.

We currently rely on the community to alert us to events like this, even though we do monitor the discussions and articles ourselves. But in situations like these a determined spammer can post on hundreds of other users walls in a matter of hours. We are looking to implement a new automated system to give us an early warning in situations like these.

If you have concerns about messages you have received or posts on your wall or on another user’s wall, please notify us. To do so go either here or click on the “Help” button in the top right of the page and then click on the “Have a Question? We can help.” button on the right side of the page. You also can click the red flag icon on any discussion comment to alert us quickly to inappropriate content.

This site is intended to help people who want to discuss health issues, and we are doing our best to maintain the quality of the conversation. With nearly 15,000 users, it’s inevitable that some people will behave badly. With your help we can respond quickly to the bad actors and preserve a good experience for everyone.
