Scars on skin: Itchy Dermatitis?

Posted by beauty214 @beauty214, Jun 21, 2019

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone else has something similar?
I have never met anyone that has what I have , even doctors get shocked. It all began when I was little my skin was extremely itchy .Well I itched it alot all of the time ..it started small and started spreading until it went on my chest and partial stomach and one leg (all basically on my right side of body) I have had these marks for over 15 years and it doesn't bother me with pain or itchiness , it's just there .
Its been one thing I struggle with as far as self cautious . I came to term as well as the dermatologist I seen, that this is lifelong and they said it can be itchy dermatitis ( I may be wrong of the name ) just wanted to know if anyone had anything similar
Thank you

I'd like to bring @gardeningjunkie and @stellgma into this conversation. They both have mentioned having Allergic Contact Dermatitis, and they may have similar experiences to share with you.

Beauty, You mention that you've had these marks for over 15 years. Do they still itch? Are you able to stop scratching?

I've never seen photos of Allergic Contact Dermatitis rashes that look like what beauty214 has and it seems she has come up with a diagnosis for her type of eczema. Yet she she go to dermnetnz.org as it lists dozens of forms of eczema, even rare ones and study the excellent photos of real cases and compare her symptoms to these. Also look at other types and photos and symptom list and see if she finds something close to what she is experiencing.

Thank you for your response. They do not itch at all . Haven't bothered me for years and sometimes I forget I have them until I look in the mirror
