Cost

I know this varies but my insurance is unable to be clear...my son has CG. Scheduled for 3 days min. of 7 procedures which include consults. MN is out of network and this round 1. Anyone? Just a guess?

I am sorry to have to ask, but what is a "CG"?

@kellye5, I want to jump in here. I am not familiar with your son's condition, insurance, or treatment, but I'll add what happened to me.

I was approved and scheduled for appointment at Mayo Rochester, but it got complicated. When emergency situation developed and I had to be transported via air ambulance to Mayo Rochester, my insurance representative was about to balk at the transportation cost. He wanted to send me to a more local facility. However since the specialist I needed was at Mayo, I was approved.

I don't know if the limited availability of treatment by specialist applies to your son's situation, but I wanted to share it, just in case.

Sending prayers of strength to you and your son.
