Controlled Falling at 60

Posted by safetyshield @safetyshield, Jun 12, 2016

I have spina bifida and now in my 60 I seem to fall without reason. Though I seem to be able to control the rate of how fast I go down I still can't control the fact that I still fall. Is this because of my disability or age?

Welcome @safetyshield. Interestingly there have been a couple of threads started recently on Connect about falling without reason. You may wish to read and post on them here:

I'd also like to connect you to other members talking about living with spina bifida. Please meet @glades2 @jimmie1a @cooper2. I'm curious. How is it that you can control the rate of how fast you fall?

I use crutches and wear braces and when I am falling by instinct the crutches are in front of me so I push down on the crutches it does not of course stop me from falling but it does control the rate of speed that I am falling. Is works on ice or on any surface.

Of course! You must be pretty handy with your crutches.
