I play tennis for at least twice a week. I understand. Make sure you do warm up exercise and also stretch your legs after the game. Yoga can improve your flexibility. Have fun with playing tennis.

Achilles problem...... I use to play tennis 4 to 5 x a week. I quit playing about 2 weeks ago because the pain got so bad. I always took the time to warm up properly but didn't do a lot of stretching. In the future I will do a lot more.. I have a doctor's appointment next week Friday.

Work with your doctor. I am sure that you will find a way to ease the pain and get back to tennis soon.

I played a lot of basketball when I was in high school and was constantly dealing with ankle injuries, including but not limited to Achilles pain. I only found one thing that I could wear that would allow me to play through pain and that is a 'sports' ankle brace, or one that laces up with metal rods on either side. Icy Hot, Ben Gay and when I was lucky Biofreeze would temporarily relieve the pain.
