Nutrition for a child with Rett syndrome

Posted by Zandra @zandra, Apr 16, 2012

Hi everyone! I am so hoping to get some good feed back. Tomorrow I will start to care for a 5 year old girl with retts syndrome. My biggest concern is what to feed her, I want to help her get the best food sources nutritionally, and hoping to put some healthy weight on her. She is just under 23 lbs. Maybe you have some good recipies. I will be all too happy to read and review whatever you send me.
So if there are any parents or care givers of rett's children I would also love your input. I am new to rett's it's a bit scary....

Hi I am a father of an 18 months girl diagnosed with Rett. I do not have much to say about this, but one of of the important things she has to take is choline which is good for neuro muscular disorders in general, and which is naturally available in meat lever, then eggs, then meat & chicken & peanut butter respectively.

I don't mean to bother you, but what exactly is retts? I am just curious.
