having egg donation in perimenopause

Am looking for your advice regarding egg donation for me as am 49 years old & i need to have my first child from egg donation, Is there any side effect of taking hormone therapy during the first 3 month of pregnancy,Will this effect my health in the future & might cause cancer in future

Hi, mahaw. We came to Mayo for IVF/donor egg program when I was 45. I also had all those shots, pills, etc. during the first 3 mo. of pregnancy, and am just fine. We got our healthy, beautiful baby boy on the first IVF/FET, and he's almost 13 now. I was afraid of the same things you are, but my OB/GYN said there's no reason to worry - no cancer, etc. related to the hormones taken during that time. Good luck! 🙂
