Hello
After several terrible experiences I seek your help for a gastroenterologist in Wisconsin. I am in the Waukesha area (that’s about an hour east of Madison). Thanks so much for any help.

Hi @bustrbrwn22, I am so sorry to hear that you have had such terrible experiences. Mayo Clinic's Gastroenterology and Hepatology providers in Eau Claire have extensive experience helping people with all types of digestive conditions. It is about 3 and a half hours from you, but if you are looking for a specialist, I would encourage you to call or check out their web page. Do you have colorectal cancer? Can you share what you have experienced so far?

@amandaburnett Hi. I’m searching on behalf of my sister. Her symptoms are too gross to put on paper and she has had ulcerative colitis since high school; she is 70 now. I will see if she would be willing to go to Eau Claire. Thanks so much for the help

@bustrbrwn22 - I live east of Waukesha and have a very good gastroenterology team at Froedtert in New Berlin. Let me know if you would like his name.

@Paula_MAC2007 Hi Paula. I went to a gastroenterologist there, Eichner or something like that and had my first colonoscopy (bleeding from rectum for couple months.) I was all worried about the poo part and how sore my bottom would be etc) That was nothing compared to the screaming and crying I did when it felt like the probe was going to go through my stomach. Total agony, no exaggeration. The nurse told me to breath to get through the pain and I should keep it a little quieter. After it was done they said I could get dressed and walk myself out. I called the person who drove me and she couldn’t believe I was done already. She hadn’t even found a place to park. I drove her to her first colonoscopy and went back to work for a while. When she called me maybe 2 hours later I had to help her walk she was so knocked out. It said in some notes they gave me fentanyl and I had a normal experience or something like that. My sister now needs a gastroenterologist and I think it’s serious. Do you have a different doctor than the one I had? Thanks for your help.

I went into my chart for the results and didn’t see anything so called whatever # was listed. I asked why the results weren’t there and she said she couldn’t help me with that, honey, and I’d need to call his office to find out results if the results weren’t in my chart.
