Dad just diagnosed with stage IV adenocarcinoma

Posted by rkschaef @rkschaef, Aug 1, 2020

Hi everyone, my sister and I found out a week ago that our dad has stage IV adenocarcinoma. We noticed that he is having a hard time sleeping and resting due to the cough. He is starting treatment next week and we are wondering if there is anything he can do or take right now that will help him sleep or cough less to be well rested before his treatment starts? Thank you! We hope you are all doing well!

I am happy to report that my dad has been feeling great after his first treatment (keytruda, premextred, carboplatin) and his cough has subsided significantly. It may be the steroids helping the cough, but either way we are thrilled he has been doing well with it so far. Thank you everyone for your well wishes, advice, and support!
