Visual Escapes and Daily Inspirations: Share Yours

Let's create a space to offer a daily reprieve.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a lot of uncertainty and fear into our lives. Some of that fear and uncertainty can be caused by over thinking what is going on or unnecessarily worrying. So, I'm making sure I wash my hands frequently, not touching my face, staying away from social gatherings and all of the recommended guidelines to help avoid getting or spreading COVID-19 but it can be a little boring. I try to not watch news all day long while I'm in this self imposed captivity. I like to take pictures of birds and other creatures from my window as a welcome break.

I invite you to join me in sharing pictures, favorite poems, sayings, mottos, funny moments. Let's take a daily break together.

In the category - I hate it when that happens... Yesterday in my haste to dethatch my lawn and mow it at the same time with a new zero turn mower that I'm not quite used to driving yet. Just a slip of the hands and the lawn dethatcher pulled over the bird feeder. I was able to put it back up and it was pretty straight then I put a large rock at the base to keep it stable and upright. Unfortunately the rains and wind came last night and it's still raining and the feeder feel over. I'm going to let the squirrels have a field day until I wait for some sunshine to do a better fix or just replace it. Hey, they are still using the feeder but the window and the rain make it hard to get good photos through the window.

@johnbishop, Hadn’t known that multiple responses in one post might “miss” members on another thread. Just want you to know how much I enjoy yours and others photos. So excited to report that my 1st male hummer appeared yesterday sipping from the larkspur!

Thanks @fiesty76, members probably won't see a post unless they have chosen to follow a discussion by clicking on the + Follow link at the top of the discussion or have been specifically tagged with their @membername. I love humming birds and see them occasionally but it's usually on my wife's flowers in the front yard and not near my feeder.

@zeiracorp LIke the pictures especially the blue jay out here they are colored blue but not like the eastern jay. When my husband put our garden to sleep for the winter I cut the heads of the sunflowers and they loved to pick out the seeds from them it was quite a sit seeing all those jays on the ground
