Visual Escapes and Daily Inspirations: Share Yours

Let's create a space to offer a daily reprieve.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a lot of uncertainty and fear into our lives. Some of that fear and uncertainty can be caused by over thinking what is going on or unnecessarily worrying. So, I'm making sure I wash my hands frequently, not touching my face, staying away from social gatherings and all of the recommended guidelines to help avoid getting or spreading COVID-19 but it can be a little boring. I try to not watch news all day long while I'm in this self imposed captivity. I like to take pictures of birds and other creatures from my window as a welcome break.

I invite you to join me in sharing pictures, favorite poems, sayings, mottos, funny moments. Let's take a daily break together.

Hah! Yes, it is and they perch in my hanging geranium every summer. I used those babies, leaving the nest last summer, as an analogy for my daughter going off to college. I called her my baby bird and thought referencing the babies spreading their wings to fly and succeed was a great idea, until she broke down crying. 😢 Live and learn Mom, live and learn.

@rwinney, Agree it was a great and appropriate analogy! That your daughter broke down and cried just shows what a sensitive, caring child you've reared. Take some credit, Mom for doing a good job!

@bookysue, Your precious "con artist" reminds me of my unforgettable "yosimite sam" who grew from 1 lb orphaned kitten to become the neighborhood favorite. Never saw a "human" he didn't like or approach; would sit in the middle of our street and dare traffic to stop...heart stopping for the mom but neighbors All showed the deference he deserved...vbg Memories of his antics still bring smiles and others continue to retell "sam stories" as well. Once loved; never forgotten, yes?

Saw these Red Tail hawks on our walk this morning.
Missed a great picture of a Red Fox with a fresh killed rabbit in his mouth. (Not fast enough with the camera for that guy)
