Why am I not losing weight

Posted by mahnoorra @mahnoorra, Mar 4, 2019

I have a very healthy diet and lifestyle, however I do not seem to be seeing results. Why?

I wouldn't have thought I could fast either. It's especially hard if you're eating a lot of carbs. But once I switched to a low-carb diet with more fat and protein (eggs for breakfast instead of Corn Chex) it was amazing how I didn't get the cravings. You maintain a much more stable blood sugar level when you don't eat processed carbs.

Thanks, @LeeAase. I always find starting the day with high-protein, an egg is the best, keeps my cravings to a minimum. Carbs are a favorite of mine, so I don't follow my own advice as I should.

We all love carbs. Too much as it turns out. I will continue to share my health journey discoveries here: https://social-media-university-global.org/my-health-journey/

@johnbishop; @LeeAase.- Are there any free intermittent fasting plans available? Or do I need to download the plan? It seems that every month there is a fee, right?

My next blog post will be on how my wife and I did our first 10-week intermittent fasting series...and will be absolutely free. In fact, you'll save money from the meals you don't eat. 😉

@merpreb the video talked about fasting every other day - 24 hours with normally eating, 24 hours with no eating, etc... I think I'm going to give it a try, just have to figure out a specific day to start to fit in my normal week. There's no cost which was one of Dr Fung's arguments why it's not recommended by doctors - no money in it.

I understand the general sentiment @merpreb, but for fasting this is not the case. You can fast for the cost of water, black coffee or tea. Watch for my blog post about it tomorrow.
