Can't seem to find out what's going on with my body.

Posted by cordtney0714 @cordtney0714, Feb 21, 2019

Hi, my name is Cordtney. I'm 34 years old and have 2 boys. A little background of my medical history:
age 4 - Astrocytoma, covered whole left side of brain. Stage 1 cancer. No chemo or radiation.

Age 13 - 18 - wisdom teeth removed, non cancerous tumor in right upper side of mouth removed 3 times.

Age 24 - ( 6 week period of time) appendix ruptured, sceptic, abscess size of pineapple by uterus ruptured, left lung 2/3 full of fluid - punctured and collapsed lung, chest tubes. MRSA by spleen, blood transfusion, life support twice, flat lined once,
6 months later
Removal of gallbladder
6 months after that
Sinus surgery

Age 29- tubal ligation
Age 32- endometrial ablation
Age 33- hysterectomy , only have ovaries

Dx:
Depression
OCD
ADD
Anxiety / panic attacks
Insomnia
COPD
Chronic pain
Bone spur in thoracic spine
Straightening of cervical spine
Migraines

So before my hysterectomy I wasn't on any medication and felt good. Since my surgery I've been out of work for 10 months . I had fluid build back up in my left lung, tear in sigmoid colon, neck and back pain, extreme weight loss, nauseated everyday, vomiting, diarrhea 10-15 times a day for 3 months, did colonoscopy came back normal, lots of anxiety, pain in left shoulder to hand, numbness, did 6 weeks physical therapy, chronic abdominal pain from upper stomach to pelvis and on both sides , rash for 3 months now comes and goes , always tired, hair loss
I've seen 3 doctors and still really no answers
I was told I had fibromyalgia
Negative ANA
Low thyroid
Now told the pain is from scar tissue

I know my body and feel like they are missing something. Anyone have and thoughts?

Thanks

They keep saying everything is normal b

@ethanmcconkey @cordtney0714 Hi Cordtney. I read your list and the only things there that I have in common is that I was a terrible migraine sufferer until I hit menopause, and my daughter is now, and I have low thyroid which is completely taken care of by a very small dose of levothyroxine.
It doesn't sound as if you are requesting information on migraines, but if you are I would be happy to help you in whatever way I can. I actually rely on my daughter's experiences now because when my migraines finally got better there was only one real medication for them, Imitrex shots, and I chose to not risk them due to a family history of heart problems, so I was stuck with nothing stronger than Excedrin. Thankfully there are medications that help a lot more now.

Hello @cordtney0714, I would like to add my welcome to Connect along with @ethanmcconkey and other members. You mentioned you have seen 3 doctors but really have no answers for what's going on with your health. I'm not sure if it's an option for you but if it is Mayo Clinic is very good at diagnosing difficult to diagnose conditions with their patient centered approach used by the different specialists. If you would like to seek help from Mayo Clinic, contact one of the appointment offices. The contact information for Minnesota, Arizona and Florida can be found here http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63.

I can't imagine how hard it must be with all the symptoms you have. Are you able share what your worst symptom is or anything that helps a little?

@ethanmcconkey Thanks for the info. This weekend was hard trying to make my son's birthday party and basketball game. I'm extremely tired and hurting today.

@johnbishop Thanks for replying. I would love to go to the mayo clinic but that's not an option right now. I have no income , 2 boys, and my mom is paying my bills right now. If I had to pick one of the worst symptoms it would be all the pain and the nausea everyday which makes it hard on me knowing I can't play or do anything with my kids and family like I use too. Nothing has helped me yet. Some days are better than others but the last 9 months have been rough.
