Agent Orange and Neurological Disorders

I just read a post from a veteran who discussed the effects of Agent Orange and Parkinson's Disease. It made me wonder if there are others who have had similar experiences? If so, is there anything you have learned from your medical team and/or the VA regarding this? Please feel free to share your story.

I believe there is allot of information the VA puts out that isn't the whole truth and that there is much more to all the chemicals they tell us about- when I was in Viet Nam twice, I saw agent Purple- along with my whole company , also agent white- we never hear about them and what types of damage they do to us- I'm sure they do something. about 5 years ago a Master SGT. with the Army Corp of Engineers found in South Korea( our friends and ally that a village where they were digging for fresh water- they found barrels of AO- which had broken open- which explained why hundreds of children in that area and drinking the water was contaminated-and many were diagnosed with Leukemia and other types of cancer- after digging down deeper they found hundreds of barrels. Our Gov: went over to access the water and found it would take 100 years for the water to be drinkable again. The military didn't think this stuff- these were all civilian contracts all about money-as always. JJAMES

@johnjames There is no specific disorder that I'm researching. I just noticed a lot of conversations regarding neurological problems, especially Parkinson's-like symptoms, and decided to open it up for discussion. It is good to see all of the posts. It has certainly been enlightening (as well as frightening) to see how many people have serious health problems related to AO. I hope that the dialogue continues and we can allow people a place to express their concerns.

I was on 2 different US Navy destroyers during the Vietnam War but we never were involved with Agent Orange to my knowledge. The following links may help vets and family that were affected by Agent Orange.

Hoping you find answers and help you need...

College,
I am again writing to see if there is anyone who has been diagnosed with a cerebellum atrophy of the brain. My husband was diagnosed at Mayo Clinic in Jan. of 2015 in Rochester, Minnesota. He was given 3 to 4 years to live. It has been a year and a half since diagnosis. He is now walking with a cane and has trouble speaking clearly. He will soon have to use a walker. Then will be in wheelchair and probably pneumonia will set in and cause death. No one has responded to my post. This thing must be very rare.
Noreen
