Foot Pain

Posted by simmie @simmie, Jul 5, 2016

I have fibromyalgia and osteoporosis (arthritis too), and I am wondering if anyone has had any luck in finding help with pain the feet? I recently started experiencing chronic pain in my left foot (top and bottom) and my right calf. It's sore and burning. It's getting difficult to walk and this is frustrating me to no end! I am a walker so this is not a good thing for me (or anyone). Suggestions, help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Hmmm... wonder if PN (perepheral {sp?} neuropathy) might enter into your picture. I have many of the same symptoms as you descibe in relation to pain in your feet and fibromyalgia, althritis. Here's the kicker --- regardless of the "title" of the specific disease you and gobs of others are told you have -- there's so many symptoms that apply to any disease, I don't think it's easy to give the disorder a specific name.

Mary,
Saw my rheumatologist today and it's arthritis in my feet (as shown in my bone scan), however, he also said that it could be from my neck (neck is very bad). I had an xray of my foot today and he wants me to get an MRI (which I will wait forever to get), and also go for the EMG that my GP wants me to have. I am so sick and tired of going to drs. Oh, I also was told yesterday that my sugar levels are up and I had to start on meds for that as well.
I am sorry you had to go thru chemo, I understand it's hard. Hope you are doing better.

With fibro in your feet. My legs and feet are killing me. Will have bonespur removed. But, have been so fraustrated for over a year. Not much testing.

Thank you. I will definitely do that. Although I think I might have to tell my Rheumatologist, as my Primary Dr. doesn't seem to offer much dialog about the foot pain.

I have never heard of rooster serum. (Are you in States?) I presume so, I live in Canada and we take a long, long time to get anything controversial or different approved for use by our regulatory agencies. Good luck on the 21st and let me know please how it went.

I tried HYALGAN (Synvisc) in my knees. It didn't work for me but I may have waited too long before trying. I have heard some said it worked for them. My dr. also suggested I try in my ankles but my at that time it wasn't approved in the states for anything other than knees so my insurance wouldn't cover. I don't know if it has been approved in the states for other joints yet. I need to check so I can try it in my ankles. Mr dr. was sure it would help. @success101 it may take a couple months before you would know if it works. Be sure to let us know!
