Please someone tell me the trick to relax severe leg cramps????
Lord, they are lasting 1-2 hours, debilitating pain. Can't walk them off. Starting behind the knees down to my toes. Some curl my toes some point them. Tried stretching, bio feedback relaxation. NO HELP!! HELP!

In my experience leg cramps respond quickly to a very small amount of a mild vinegar solution. Or go to http://www.stopslegcramps.com for a commercial product. May not work for you at all, or be too tame for your problem.

I have had and tried hundreds of Medical and Home remedies with no relief. Absolutely not effective in anyway for my condition. But thanks for the advice. It may help others.
For me the only relief that has been effective is rubbing/Massaging the Anti-antagonistic muscle group that is associated with the muscle that is cramping. I also avoid prolonged use of any particular muscle group by changing positions frequently.

Have you had success with the remedies you listed?

@dawn_giacabazi yes I have I keep a jar of pickle juice in fridge as soon as a cramp starts I drink about 3swallows and instantly the cramp is gone As a bedtime routine if my legs are fidgety I make a solution in of vinegar and water ,apply washcloth to area leave on a few seconds. A friend when she goes out has mustard packs and swallows the mustard when cramp appears. It's the vinegar in all that helps the cramp. Do you take Magnesium?,Potassium and Calcium? Our bodies need all 3 these will keep you from getting cramps I take a Vitam-Mineral supplement everyday.Linda

@lioness We have had many members who swear by the pickle juice remedy, (also a spoonful of mustard). It certainly seems like an odd remedy, but for many it seems to work. I do not have muscle cramps so I have never tried it, but it is simple, inexpensive and does not require a prescription - so it might be worth a try.

Howdy,#best care! Have you mentioned this to your Primary Care Physician? He or she might want to check your blood levels. Something as simple as not having enough magnesium or potassium can cause leg cramps. This is kind of tricky, as you don't want to self medicate, not even with seemingly "harmless" supplements. As good consumers, we have to be very careful what we put in our bodies. Let us know how this plays out, dear heart. We care about you! Get back with us and let us know how it worked out for you. Please? Thanks!

Quinine. I don't care what the dangers are. I'm willing to risk the dangers in order to eliminate my leg cramps. I feel your pain.....seriously. They are the worst. Quinine is the only med that has ever worked for me. An OTC icy/hot cream also works to minimize them. I don't know how a cream like that could work, but it does.
