Hi She1, you might be interested in the osteoporosis discussions in the Bones, Joints & Muscles group (https://connect.mayoclinic.org/group/arthritis-and-joint-conditions-268850/)
For example, see these discussions:
– Anyone taken Evenity (romosozumab) for Osteoporosis? https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/evenity-osteoporosis/
– Struggling with making an osteoporosis treatment decision https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/making-an-osteoporosis-treatment-decision/
I have been taking evenity for 7 months with no adverse affects at all. very very very slight ache in injection site if I do weight lifting on the same day as the injection. That goes away after a day.
I recently finished a year long Evenity treatment (followed up with Zoledronic Acid infusion..) and my spinal density increased 12%!! (That’s with a re-calibrated DEXA machine due to reasons…)
I’m thrilled and now actually in osteopenic territory!
No side effects that I can attribute to Evenity.
I am happy to hear that it worked for you! I will be starting the Evenity shots in August. My T-score is -4 on my arms, it's severe. What was your t-score before beginning treatment, if you don't mind?
My Spine L1-4 T score was -3.0; now -2.1.
The usual spots for measurements in our system are spine, femoral neck and hips. (not arms, perhaps due to the severity of your condition). Good luck with Evenity.
