9-Year-Old Twin Sisters Dance With Bone Marrow Donor Who Saved Them

You may not remember what you were doing when you were 9-years-old, but for Elizabeth and Kathryn Girtler, they’ve formed memories that will last a lifetime. The twin girls recently met the man responsible for the bone marrow donation that saved their lives nearly four years ago. After being diagnosed with a rare condition that prevents blood from forming the platelets needed for clotting, the girls were placed on Be The Match’s recipient list by Mayo Clinic. Now living healthy lives, Kathryn and Elizabeth have finally been able to thank (and dance) with the man whose gift keeps them going.
