The Price We Pay For Sitting Too Much

Should you spend your day sitting or standing? It’s a tricky balance. Experts say that while sitting for long periods of time increases your risk for cardiovascular disease and other chronic conditions, too much standing can also have negative effects on your health.

It turns out that they key is to break up your activity throughout the day. For every 30 minutes working in an office, try sitting for 20, standing for eight and moving around for two.
