If you're getting trapped gas and bloating after a meal, for me it was the gluten, because I loved my bread and biscuits and beer. Eat one meal without gluten and you will know immediately if this is what the problem is. Stay gluten-free and you will be amazed how other body problems just vanish. It's almost like a miracle.

I am still having pain in my GI tract lower right and middle around belly button. This is now accompanied by a burning headache and some numbness in my right lip, Ive asked the drs to to a brain scan, they will not do a complete MRI do to insurance restraints. I also have terrible dry mouth episodes or a lot of spitting but they dont give it any importance. Any suggestions? thank you

my daughter gave up corn, wheat, and dairy and has had good improvements in how she feels. Corn is in everything, have to commit to reading labels. She often felt like she couldn't breathe when she ate corn, also had aches and stiffness, one doctor even diagnosed her with asthma (not). She had lots of mood issues too. Dairy was source of stomach trouble. She is able to eat soy and most fresh foods now. Rice and quinoa, lean meats.

Thank you, I recently had a blood test to check for Celiac disease which includes not tolerating wheat. Am waiting to hear, good to know to read the labels to see if they contain corn.

thank you so much for replying. Ive had a colonoscopy and recently had an endoscopy that the biopsy showed no cancer nor ulcers. Drs keep calling it gastritis, feel just a bit better knowing that its not something serious. However you can imagine how frustrating and painful it is. I will consider your suggestions , have tried the hot water and lemon (but the ditetician told me to stay sway fr citrus) but Im going to try it anyway. Please tell me what is gripe water, nver heard of it thanks again

If you haven't already you should have a colonoscopy exam to rule out causes of your pain , but having said that i too suffer and have found I sometimes have unbearable pain that will not go away with pain meds it causes distention , bloating, and discomfort after eating, I found out for me that it was trapped gas, I drink hot water and lemon, take gasx, or you may try peppermint, fennel tea,(haven't tried that but it is supposed to be good for gas,and try raising your legs in the air as high as you can this seems to release the gas releasing the discomfort or forces your insides the other way releasing the pressure. I have heard that gripe water helps too, this will come back and I think that it is caused by certain foods so you should monitor the culprit that causes the build up of gas.

you might have gastroparesis like i do. I was just diagnosed with it . You need to have a gastric emptying test which is not done at a community hospital.I just started on 250 mg. of erythromycin and a low residue low fat diet. I am seeing a nutritionist in 2 weeks. Good luck to you. I was being erroneously treated for gerd for 4 months and very sick.So glad to have a diagnosis.

Thank you much for your suggestion, will mention it to myDr on next visit. Sometimes I do feel as if there were bacteria somewhere. I did see a nutritionist for a while for as long as the insurance allowed. I will also ask for this gastric emptying test even if I have to pay out of pocket.

I used to have IBS. When bouts occured I would be very careful what I ate and things would clear. Then it went haywire and nothing helped. Then I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. I'm off gluten. I don't eat most packaged foods. It's one of the best things to ever happen to me. Good luck, whatever you find.
